Did you know every Starboard paddle comes with a Trash Picker?

You can use the Trash Picker as a helpful tool to pick up plastic and other trash while paddling. Store the trash in a bag or pocket it until you reach shore.

... and naturally, it’s made from recycled plastic!

Anglesey is the First County to be Awarded ‘Plastic Free Communities’ Status in UK as it Takes Action on Single-Use Plastic.

Starboard SUP Ocean Ambassador & local paddle boarder, Sian Sykes, started the campaign last year before she set off on her epic record-breaking circumnavigation of Wales on a stand up paddleboard to highlight the issues of plastic pollution. The expedition was single use plastic free and she inspired communities to make a pledge against plastic. Sian got involved with Surfers Against Sewage after moving back home to Wales and saw the effects of plastic pollution.

Congrats to Starboard SUP Dream Team rider Fiona Wylde for claiming the 2019 Santa Cruz Paddlefest Title in the SUP Surf competition.

The 33rd Annual Santa Cruz Paddlefest did not disappoint! There was plenty of swell for a truly contestable competition in fantastic sunny conditions. This year the paddle surfing community was out in force cheering each other on and overall just having a good time. All the contestants created a loving community atmosphere at this event and the number of smiles throughout the weekend is a testament to that.

“Three days of sunshine and glassy waves welcomed competitors from all corners of the world for the Santa Cruz Paddle Fest!

Being able to surf Steamer Lane with only three other people is a dream, and to do it three days in a row, well it’s quite the draw for the contest!"
